Did Jesus Authorize You to Call Him Yeshua?

Did Jesus authorize you to call Him “Yeshua”? How would you respond if suddenly your spouse or fiancé began to call you by a different name—a name you never authorized? Imagine you found out that the new name actually belonged to someone trying to take your place. Or what if that name turned out to be a curse word, so that every time they called you by it, they were unknowingly cursing you?

Today, an overwhelming number of professing Christians have stopped calling Jesus by His original name and instead embraced the name “Yeshua,” assuming it to be authentic and authorized by God. However, nothing could be further from the truth.

Hi, I’m Dolly Weber. Maybe you yourself like to call Jesus “Yeshua.” You may have heard that Yeshua is the real, original name for Jesus—and after all, it sounds Hebrew, and Jesus was a Jew. However, some of us resisted making the switch. Something didn’t seem right. As it turns out, increasing details now expose a long-term, cunning plot—not just to replace Jesus’ name, but to literally exterminate the memory of Jesus altogether.

The Origin of the Name

Yeshua in fact refers to a specific mystical person, highly esteemed in the occult and the New Age movement. Even worse, when someone who hates Jesus calls Him “Yeshua,” they are literally cursing Him. Before we uncover their plot, let’s get the facts straight: all original New Testament manuscripts were written in Greek—not Hebrew.

By the time Jesus was born, Hebrew was a dead language. Jesus Himself spoke Greek and ministered in Greek. The Old Testament He quoted from was the Septuagint, which was written in Greek. In fact, for nearly 200 years before His birth, Hebrew had ceased to be a functional language.

The Father had divorced Israel and stopped using Hebrew. No one today knows how original Hebrew was even pronounced. After Jesus’ ministry, Christians under Emperor Trajan buried many Scriptures to avoid persecution. Centuries later, over 53,000 fragments were discovered—and every single one was in Greek, not Hebrew. Even the Epistle to the Hebrews was written in Greek.

A Fabricated Name

The name “Yeshua” was never found on any original manuscript. So why did Jesus “change” to Yeshua? Why not the other way around?

When Paul was blinded on the road to Damascus, he asked, “Who are you?” The Holy Spirit replied: “I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom you are persecuting.” Not Yeshua—Jesus.

The name “Jesus” has appeared in our Bibles for hundreds of years thanks to William Tyndale, who translated the original Greek word “Iēsous” as “Jesus,” not “Yeshua.”

So who came up with “Yeshua”? The answer lies with the same group that always hated Jesus—the Judaizers. Jesus called them the sons of Satan. These men removed the “-s” from Jesus’ name and shortened it to “Jesu,” feminizing and insulting the name.

The Revival of Hebrew

By the 6th century AD, Judaizers began reviving the dead Hebrew language. They promoted a mystique around Hebrew, claiming it would become the universal language in the end times—a false teaching they still push today.

So-called Rabbi Yitzhak Shapira stated:

“There will be only one language—it’s gonna be Hebrew.”

He cited Zephaniah 3:9, which simply says God will purify people’s lips, not that He will restore Hebrew.

What Happened at Pentecost?

At Pentecost, the Father broke 400 years of silence and spoke—not in Hebrew—but in all the world’s languages except Hebrew. Everyone heard the Holy Spirit in their own tongue.

Peter declared Christians to be the chosen people of God, no longer needing Hebrew as their language.

The Masoretes’ Role

The Masoretes, like the Judaizers, rebelled against God’s new method. They created a virtually secret Hebrew dialect, removed 23 books from the Old Testament, altered the book of Esther (removing every mention of God), and changed key Septuagint passages confirming Jesus as Messiah.

The Masoretic Text became the Old Testament used in the King James Bible, despite the Septuagint being the version Jesus quoted.

They also invented a code name for God using four letters, which became known as the “Tetragrammaton.” Occultists like Aleister Crowley loved this code and viewed it as a magical word of power.

From this code, new unauthorized names for God emerged—most notably “Yahweh” and “Jehovah.”

Albert Pike, a leading Freemason, claimed Yahweh reversed is the true name of Satan. Blavatsky identified Jehovah with the serpent who tempted Eve.

The Importance of Names

Does the name we use for Jesus matter? Absolutely.

Peter declared in Acts:

“By the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene… this man stands healed… there is salvation in no one else.”

Paul wrote:

“At the name of Jesus every knee will bow… and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.”

Luke 10 records demons responding only to Jesus’ name—not Yeshua. Jesus’ name holds power. Yeshua does not.

Modern-Day Judaizers

Today, false teachers promote Yeshua while mocking Jesus. One example is Rabbi Mark Biltz, founder of El Shaddai Ministries, who said:

“If you ask one of the disciples who Jesus was, they would have no idea.”

Rabbi Itzhak Shapira, author of The Return of the Kosher Pig, claims Yeshua is the real Jewish Messiah, but Jesus is “the wrong guy.”

Who Is the Real Yeshua?

In the 3rd Book of Enoch, written 40 years after Jesus ascended, a character named Metatron is introduced. This mystical figure, said to be the transformed man Enoch, became an archangel known as the “lesser Yahweh.”

Metatron now appears in New Age circles, being channeled by spirit mediums. Some “Messianic” groups openly equate Yeshua with Metatron.

Rabbi Shapira even stated:

“Yeshua was called the Prince of the Face, who is Prince Metatron.”

A Blasphemous Curse?

Most shockingly, “Yeshua” is an acronym for a Yiddish curse: Y’mach Sh’mo V’zichro—“May His name and memory be obliterated.”

This curse is used 26 times against Jesus in the Talmud. It was also used for figures like Stalin, Hitler, and Haman.

During a Benny Hinn interview, Rabbis Shapira and Jonathan Bernis openly confirmed this curse meaning, saying:

“Yeshua is a cursed one… may His name be blotted out for eternity.”

Conclusion

It is a grave deception to exchange the true name of Jesus for a counterfeit—one that is, in fact, a curse. It’s time for all true followers of Jesus to call Him by His rightful name: Jesus, the only name that signifies salvation.

“Whoever denies that Jesus is the Christ—such a person is the Antichrist.”
