God’s Perfect Law Is Still In Full Effect

Contrary to what Paul wrote, God’s perfect law is still in FULL EFFECT!! Jesus said He did not come to remove the law but to fulfill it. He did this by showing us a life lived in full dominion over His birds/thoughts, fish/emotions, beast/body.

If You DO NOT Believe In, And Follow, the Perfect Law of God, Then I Have News For You:

Your Are Lawless!!!

Exo 20 And God spoke all these words:

2 “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.

3 “You shall have no other gods before me.

4 “You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. 5 You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, 6 but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments.

7 “You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name.

8 “Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your male or female servant, nor your animals, nor any foreigner residing in your towns. 11 For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.

12 “Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you.

13 “You shall not murder.

14 “You shall not commit adultery.

15 “You shall not steal.

16 “You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor.

17 “You shall not covet your neighbor’s house. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his male or female servant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.”

Are these commandments TOO STRINGENT for you to keep? No. These are all within the bounds of possibilities for any man or woman. We would you “buck” these? Why do you defile yourself with the foul words of Paul, when he hisses “you are not under the law”. So tell me, since you are now “not under the law”, exactly which of the ten commandments above are you JONESING TO GO COMMIT??? What exactly does it mean for you to “not be under that law” now?

These laws are not too difficult for me… I realize that they are NOT what saves me, but that I generally cannot be “saved” unless I am in harmony with Him and His ways and His laws.

In Luke 16:17 Jesus says, “But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one dot of the Law to become void.” In Matthew 5:17-18, as part of His Sermon on the Mount, Jesus says, “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished.”

With these words, Jesus honored the Law as God’s Holy Word and declared the Law to be perfect, non-negotiable, and a true prediction of God’s work in the future.

It is important to keep Jesus’ statement in context. He had just said, “The Law and the Prophets were proclaimed until John,” in the previous verse (Luke 16:16, NIV). He quickly follows that statement with an affirmation of the Law’s permanence, to curtail any thinking that John the Baptist’s coming had somehow voided the Law. Even as the kingdom was being preached to the nation of Israel, the Law held its proper place as the revelation of God’s holy standard.

In both Matthew 5 and Luke 16, Jesus underscores the inspiration of Scripture. The Word of God is our authority. Later, Jesus introduces the New Covenant, ratified with His shed blood (Luke 22:20), but the New Covenant does not destroy the Law; it completes the Law. The sacrifices the Hebrew children had to offer every day were not somehow nullified by the death of Christ; they found their fulfillment in His death. We no longer bake bread, sprinkle it with frankincense, and arrange it on a table in a temple (Leviticus 24:5–7). Instead, we look to the Bread of Life, Jesus Christ (John 6:51). The table of showbread was but a picture of what was to come; it is no longer part of our worship today, but it remains part of the foundation upon which our faith is built.

The Law of the Lord is perfect (Psalm 19:7). Till heaven and earth pass away, God’s Holy Word—all of it—will continue to accomplish all that it was sent to do (Isaiah 55:11).

THE 7 (or 9) APPOINTED FESTIVALS

So also, the Festivals of the Lord, as delineated in Leviticus 23. They are set and not to be moved or tampered with, but honored from that time forward.

Leviticus 23:2 The Lord said to Moses, Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘These are my appointed festivals, the appointed festivals of the Lord, which you are to proclaim as sacred assemblies. “

THE FOOD DECREES

And we know that God did not eliminate the Food Laws that He laid down in Leviticus 11 and Deuteronomy 14. These have NOT CHANGED, despite what you may think of “Peter’s vision“.

A skeptic asks: There are laws for women menstruating, men having wet dreams, wearing mixed fabric, etc. It goes on and on. Everyone just picks and chooses.

Answer: Can we agree that there is a difference between LAW (thou shalt not) and health and sanitary recommendations? On a scale, where would murder be in relation to mixed fabric? Do you see the difference?

Or the difference between health and diet suggestions and multiple times calling something AN ABOMINATION!!! PORK is the #1 cancer causing food in the whole world!! I have not figured it out yet, but with the the “Pig’s Eye” and other similarities between human and swine flesh, I’m pretty sure that the pig was a derivative somehow of human flesh. My friend sports a pig’s valve in his heart. So I can well hear Dad saying “Eating your own flesh derivative is an abomination”. I’ll let you know what I find out.

USE EXTREME CAUTION WHEN READING THE CORRUPTED WORDS OF PAUL

Whose teachings exactly do you think Jesus was warning about here:

Matthew 7:21-23   Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name? And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!”

And then Paul wrote this:

Eph. 2:14-15, For He Himself is our peace, who made both groups into one, and broke down the barrier of the dividing wall, by abolishing in His flesh the enmity, which is the Law of commandments contained in ordinances, that in Himself He might make the two into one new man, thus establishing peace.

Jesus said to watch out for lawless ones. Paul said many times that we are no longer under the law.

But now we have been released from the law, for we died to it and are no longer captive to its power. Now we can serve God, not in the old way of obeying the letter of the law, but in the new way of living in the Spirit.” -Paul (Romans 7:6)
“For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes. -Paul (Romans 10:4)

DO NOT THINK that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished. Therefore whoever relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever does them and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I tell you, unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. -Jesus (Matthew 5:18)

For he himself is our peace, who has made us both one and has broken down in his flesh the dividing wall of hostility by abolishing the law of commandments expressed in ordinances -Paul (Ephesians 2:14)

The Law and the Prophets were until John; since then the good news of the kingdom of God is preached, and everyone forces his way into it. But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one dot of the Law to become void. -Jesus (Luke 16:16)

THE FIRST COVENANT IS ETERNAL – NO NEED FOR A SECOND ONE

There are 11 verses that say that the First Covenant is EVERLASTING – THERE IS NO ROOM NOR NEED FOR A SECOND!!!!

Genesis 17:7 I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and to your descendants after you.

Jeremiah 32:40 I will make an everlasting covenant with them that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; and I will put the fear of Me in their hearts so that they will not turn away from Me.

Psalm 89:3-4 “I have made a covenant with My chosen;
I have sworn to David My servant,
I will establish your seed forever
And build up your throne to all generations.” Selah.

THE LAW IS IMPOSSIBLE TO KEEP ENTIRELY – JESUS OFFERS THE PERFECT SOLUTION

Yes, many of us will agree, in our mind, with everything that is written above about how GGGGGGReat the Law is!!

However, I know just as well as anyone that it is IMPOSSIBLE for us regular people to keep it all…

We all have heard that “Jesus died to take away my sins”. Yes, but what does that mean FOR ME TODAY?

Here is the answer that the Father of your Spirit, the real Father of the Real You, invites you to:

Mat 11:28 Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.

When I dwell on this passage, I can’t help but imagine that His yoke takes me immediately to:

Psalm 23 – The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters.
He restores my soul.
He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil, for you are with me;
Your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life,
And I shall dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

Dwelling a bit further, I realize that the ultimate goal is to graduate beyond the need for the yoke, because I can hear the voice of the Lamb clearly enough, and have a heart willing to “follow the Lamb wherever He leads”. (Rev 14:5)

This proposal from your Daddy, Jesus, should summarize the Law and the Prophets well into your heart, for the rest of your days.

Orthodoxy wants you to ignore the whole rest of the Bible, and choke down only the twisted words of Paul – who should always be read with other scriptures keeping his ad lib tongue in firm check to the balance of the scriptures.
